The
Bob Perspective
I
thought since I didn't write a review last week I should give 2 this
week....makes sense....I guess.
Pride
and Prejudice
Starring:
Keira Knightly, Donald sutherland
Directed
by: Joe
Wright
RATED PG
(for
Pure Grotesque Boredom....they took out the B because of bad PR)
Original
Release: 2005
Genre:
Drama/Romance
The
Low Down: A mother of
5 girls desperately attempts to marry off her children. This story has
more conspiracy and twists that a Jerry Springer show
Scorecard:
Acting:
The Manly good looks of Keira Knightly couldn't save this movie. It
took about a half hour for me to adjust to the heavy English accents and
once I did, I didn't want to hear what they had to say. (0)
Direction: There
was direction? (0)
Story: He can't stand
her, and she can't stand him. But soon he starts to like her, but
she doesn't like him. she starts to like him, but someone else like her.
She finds bad stuff out and doesn't like him, he can't live without her.
They hate each other. The love each other for some reason.......that's
......it....... (0)
Expectations: The
only "saving" grace of this movie. I had seen other versions of
this movie and have read the book before. I knew it was going to be boring
and bad. I was right.....I just wish I wasn't so right all the time. (1/2)
Boring?:
Yes....yes!!! oh God
yes!!! 127 minutes of pure torture. I tried to gnaw my eye's out, but soon
found out that was a physical impossibility. (0)
The
Wild Card is a category of my own creation that if a movie deserves
certain recognition (no matter how bad the movie) it should be rewarded
(possible 1/2 point)
Wild Card: No......just no.....not even horses in this movie could save
it.
Final
Score: 1/2
The Bob Perspective: If
you have a good 2 hours of your life that you feel like there should be
some retribution for some evil thing you have done in life. This is a
great way to justify it....otherwise....stay away......I think I need a
bath after this movie.
