Darkness

(couldn't find a poster for this movie...sorry)

Starring: Anna Paquin

Directed by: Jaume Balaguero

Rated R

Synopsis: Things live in the shadows. These things should never see the light of day...until the darkness comes...(if that makes sense for you...maybe you should go see the movie.)

My Thoughts: To be perfectly honest... I wanted to go and see this movie. The previews had me intrigued. Sadly I was massively disappointed.

  Scorecard:

Acting: Anna Paquin slept through this entire movie. She acted like a piece of used sandpaper, very rough in some parts and very dull in all the others. Lena Olin did a terrible job as well, there was no saving grace for the actors in this movie. Its not that their parts were bad, they just did a very bad job acting out their parts. (0)

Direction: First off, the hippie frenchman that directed this movie did a terrible job, though the sad thing is, it wasn't all that noticeable until the ending of the movie, because it wasn't that noticeable until the ending, I really can't give it a zero. (1/2)

Story: The story was interesting. Shadow people take forms of normal folk, and try and take over the world. There is nothing wrong with that story. The ending really made the story die out. Some endings just need to be happy...this movie really could have used it...it didn't have it though. (0)

Expectations: I expected this movie to be at least okay...it wasn't. There really isn't anything left to say about it. (0)

Boring?: In a word...YES...the movie was only like 100 minutes, but for some reason, it seemed to drag on and on and on, until the disappointing ending. (0)

Final Score: 1/2 out of 5

Final Thoughts: There is really nothing good about this movie. It was hard to stomach because it was so boring and the acting was so atrocious. Avoid this movie like if you were a little boy asked by Michael Jackson to stay over at his house for some sweet sweet lovin'... (ewww, I can't believe I wrote that...)
