Sorry about the delay getting this one up...its
been hell lately! Lets get started...
Stay
Starring: Ewan
McGregor
Directed by: Marc
Forster
Rated R
Synopsis:
A doctor has been seeing a patient that has been telling him that he is going to
commit suicide on the eve of his 21st birthday.
My Thoughts:
While not being a huge fan of Ewan McGregor, I have noticed that he has done
some pretty good movies. He is a very talented actor. Not in this movie. The
acting was surprisingly bad to a story that looked pretty good on paper that
went absolutely no where at all. This one isn't going to be pretty.
Scorecard:
Acting:
The acting was very bad. You would think with talent like Ewan
McGregor and Naomi Watts and Ryan Gosling and Bob Hoskins that it is a sure bang
winner, it wasn't. The actors looked like they didn't want to be there, so they
gave piss poor performances. (0)
Direction: There
was no direction to this movie what-so-ever. The way the director set up the
story puts Ed Wood to shame. (And that isn't a compliment.) (0)
Story: The
story sounded interesting. But it really wasn't. This movie was ALL build up and
nothing after it. The characters weren't all that likeable and the way the story
went was god-awful. The ending has to be one of the worst ends to a movie I have
ever seen. It was dull and very predictable, if you are waiting for a twist
(which is what was building up to) you are going to be very disappointed. It
goes exactly where it shouldn't because it was extremely predictable. (0)
Expectations: I
was actually intrigued by this movie, the promo trailers they did for this movie
made it sound incredibly awesome. It wasn't. I and everyone I saw this movie
with was very disappointed. (0)
Boring?:
Yes...very. (0)
Final Score: 0/5 which is a
big fat DUNG!!!
Final thoughts:
Please do yourself a favor and don't bother with this movie. Even if it seems
like your kind of movie. It isn't trust me. There was nothing I enjoyed about
this movie at all. You will be bored beyond belief, and at parts you will role
your eyes so far back in your head you will be looking at what's behind you.
