The
Sentinel
The
Sentinel
Starring: Michael Douglas and
Kiefer Sutherland
Directed by: Clark Johnson
Rated PG-13
Genre: Action/Drama
Synopsis: The secret service
has uncovered a plot to assassinate the president, the problem is, the
conspirator is a member of the secret service.
My Thoughts: The synopsis
makes this movie sound very good. Sadly, this movie was basically
paint-by-numbers.
Scorecard:
Acting-
There was nothing great about the acting jobs in this movie. Douglas and
Sutherland play secret service agents, Douglas is being framed for conspiring
to kill the president, Sutherland is a play it by the books type. Nothing
great about the acting, the actors in this movie sleep-walked their way
through this movie. (1/2)
Direction-
There was nothing great about the direction of the movie either.
Everything was bland, but it went were it should have, and that is a
positive thing. (1/2)
Story-
The idea was good. But a little generic. But the story is enough to keep
you entertained for a while. (1/2)
Expectations-
I expected this movie to be a very vanilla movie with nothing special
added in. That is exactly what I got. (1/2)
Boring?-
This movie had moments of boredom. But there weren't a lot of them. But
sadly, the boring parts really dragged the movie down. (1/2)
Final Score: 2
1/2 out of 5
Final Thoughts: This movie
was nothing more than average. But, I am putting this movie on the avoid
side of the fence because there is nothing good about it. EVERYTHING was
just average, no one went out of their ways to make this a better movie,
there are better conspiracy movies out there if you want to see those
kinds of movies. Email me and I will suggest a few.
